Seattle Fishermens Memorial
The Seattle Fishermen's Memorial is a magnificent bronze and stone sculpture at Seattle's Fishermen's Terminal which honors the commercial fishermen and women who have lost their lives pursuing their livelihood. The Memorial is maintained by fishing industry volunteers who also raise funds to support grief counseling, safety training, and scholarships for family of fishermen whose names are on the Memorial. Donations are appreciated.

The Marine Conservation Alliance is an Alaska non-profit organization formed by communities, fishermen, vessel owners and crew, processors, support industries, western Alaska Community Development Quota (CDQ) organizations, consumers and other stakeholders involved in North Pacific groundfish fisheries. Their goals are to promote the conservation and sustainable use of fishery resources, and to support research and public education about fishery resources in the North Pacific.

The Catfish Institute
When the need to raise consumer awareness about the positive qualities of farm-raised catfish arose, a group of Mississippi catfish farmers and feed manufacturers founded The Catfish Institute (TCI). This was in 1986. TCI's membership expanded in 1993 to include U.S. feed mills in other commercial catfish-producing states, including Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana, and later, North Carolina. Their purpose was to promote "Genuine U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish."

Central Bering Sea Fishermen's Association (CBSFA)
CBSFA is the Community Development Quota (CDQ) group representing the community of St. Paul in the Pribilof Islands, Alaska. Seventy percent of the fisheries resources of the Bering Sea are located close to St. Paul. There are approximately 700 year-round residents on St. Paul Island comprising Alaska's largest remaining intact Aleut community. American Seafoods and the CBSFA have been partners in the CDQ pollock program since its inception in 1992 and in 2000 CBSFA became a part owner of American Seafoods.

Coastal Villages Region Fund (CVRF)
A regional economic development organization representing 20 communities on the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta coast of the Bering Sea. CVRF's goals are to create a self-sufficient fisheries economy for the social and economic benefit of CVRF's residents through the use of the fisheries resources of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, Bering Sea, and North Pacific Ocean. In 2000 American Seafoods and CVRF formed a partnership in the Community Development Quota (CDQ) program and CVRF is now a part owner of American Seafoods.

On behalf of the seventeen coastal communities in the Bristol Bay region, BBEDC manages its CDQ investments and quotas with the goal of developing the region's resources by participating and investing in the Bering Sea seafood industry, creating employment and training opportunities for residents, and supporting regional economic development initiatives.
